    • You also want to make sure you claim your website on your Pinterest business page. Claiming your website gives Pinterest access to how your website performs when pinners land on your website. It gives the algorithm important information for each pin you save on the platform, and more importantly, the Pinterest platform prioritizes accounts with claimed websites! 3. Organize and create boards relevant to your brand

    • If people are looking at your brand’s Pinterest page, it’s because they’re most likely there to find inspo or shop directly from the page. You want to keep it fun and professional but also give your audience a good picture of what you’re selling and who you are. This doesn’t mean you have to delete all the personal boards you’ve built up over the years but to remember that your business Pinterest page is to create boards most relevant to you and your business.

      • Besides creating your own few boards specifically for your business (your business name, your blog, your products), here’s a few board ideas to add to your page depending on your industry:

        • Interior Design

          • home decor, DIY ideas, outdoor living, style: mid-century modern, organizing tips, dining room ideas

        • Creative Entrepreneur

          • copywriting tips, growing and scaling your business, Pinterest marketing tips, social media marketing strategy, mindset, content marketing for creatives, newsletters and email marketing

        • Graphic Design

          • mood board inspo, website templates, design patterns, fonts, branding strategy, logo and brand design, color palettes, branding tips

        • Sustainable Fashion

          • eco-friendly beauty products, beginner zero waste recourses, fashion change-making quotes, sustainability tips, sustainable style, conscious living, recycled fashion, brands with a cause

  4. Research keywords

    • Keywords help with SEO (search engine optimization) which can help bring more awareness and growth to your brand. Pinterest works similar to Google, so when you’re searching for specific things on Google it looks for keywords related to your search to help you find what you’re looking for. Pinterest works the same way! So researching keywords that you know your audience is searching for and using them in your posts actually helps your pins show up compared to pins that aren’t fully optimized with keywords. Finding the right keywords to use will always help you get discovered and seen!

5. Take advantage of keyword rich pin descriptions

  • Pin descriptions are important to help your viewers understand what each pin is about and how the viewer can benefit from your pin. We recommend writing your descriptions in this layout to get the most out of your description -

  • Use want to use keyword-rich descriptions so that when people pin your image, the description stays with the pin (unless they decide to change it). When others save your pin, the keyword description populates on Pinterest giving your pin context and data for the search feed. This also establishes domain authority and tells Pinterest you have great actionable content!

6. Use quality images and graphics

  • You want your audience to be attracted to your pins and your page, so finding high quality photos and graphics to use is key! Pinterest is a visual platform, so you want your audience to be attracted to your page visually. Whether you’re using stock photos or your own photography, make sure you use high quality images that are relevant to your business.

  • Along with high quality photos, comes good graphics that use colors and fonts from your brand board. This way you can have a cohesive page that also matches the content you might be posting on other social media platforms or your website.

  • TIP - always make sure you have your business name/logo included in every pin design!
